The Laws of Nature, Aphra Shemza & Sian Ellen
Aphra Shemza & Sian Ellen
Illustrating the fusion between synthesised and organic concepts and material within the world, the exhibition seeks to remind the viewer that human evolution and technological progress originates from the natural world. Using the human form to transmit these concepts, Aphra explores art, geometry and abstraction to symbolize understanding nature and the cosmos. Sian aims to communicate and highlight the evolution of human invention and investigates the way in which humanity harnesses and manipulates nature.
The concept behind the work is nature taking over technology and technology consuming nature; an observation and metaphor for humanity's ability to destroy nature and nature's ability to destroy humanity.
