Artinavan// collective have converted an empty shop in the 1930's indoor Brixton Village Market into a weekly rotating installation space; this week a wide range of printed matter will be for sale in the shop.

AIAV// art collective is formed of British based artists, writers, illustrators, photographers, musicians and designers that work in a variety of medium and disciplines. Their interests lie in group exhibitions based around a variety of subject matter and themes, expressing their ideas through the diversity of their media.
Artinavan// collective have converted an empty shop in a 1930's indoor Brixton Village Market into a weekly rotating installation space. The shop displays contemporary works from the Artinavan// collective as group installations, individual shows, collaborations with emerging and local artists / curators in the south London area and also visiting artists spaces. The not-for-profit project is running for 3 months (Jan.—April. 2010), providing opportunities for the group and collaborating artists to explore the possibilities of the area while delivering contemporary art in an accessible non conventional gallery setting.
As part of the series of 9, 1 week projects which are taking place at '72 // 4th ave' (shop no.72 in the market), Artinavan// will be using the shop to sell zines and small publications. There will be a wide range of printed matter, which will be for sale in the shop through the week. All of the publications, prints, books, mugs, tote bags (the list goes on) have been produced by students of the camberwell college of art.
There will be an opening evening on Wednesday with drinks so everyone can get together, swap, buy and sell.
