A season of events curated by invited artists and organisations. The programme features interactive screenings, performances and discussions focusing on artists' moving image.

at Assembly Point

Tableaux consists of twelve events over three weeks with over one hundred contributors exploring various themes. Assembly Point has invited organisations and individuals to coordinate each event resulting in a diverse and exhilarating programme of moving image and performance.

This week:

Wednesday 4 May, 6.30pm – 9pm: Screening — Assembly Point Selects, featuring: Laure Prouvost, Lawrence Lek and Sam Smith, Coordinated by Assembly Point.

Thursday 5 May, 6.30pm – 9pm: Screening, Ping Pong & Dancing — Slow Bounce Video Magazine, Slow Bounce take both ping pong and dancing to their illogical conclusions, collating sounds and videos—found, commissioned and concocted. Coordinated by Slow Bounce.

Friday 6 May, 6.30pm – 9pm: Screening, Performance & Conversation — At the Backend, featuring: Anna Zett, Claire Tolan, Die Ashley, Encyclopedia Inc., Kimmo Modig and The Cuss Group. Coordinated by AQNB.

Saturday 7 May, 3pm – 6pm: Interactive Drawing Workshop — RYB, an artist led drawing workshop in Red, Yellow & Blue. Responding to film clips, classic and contemporary, familiar and lesser known, the exercises will focus on colour, shape and movement to document film through drawing, with a primary palette. Join the group to draw colours in motion. All ages welcome and no experience necessary. Coordinated by George Mellor/Sister Arrow and Rosalind Wilson.
