These are very weird and challenging times! As people begin the process of social distancing, and with no real understanding of how long for and what the impact will be. The team at TACO! have been thinking about what they might do; it is important to stay healthy and care for others around us, but also important to to feel, to think and be moved.

TACO! has an online platform for radio broadcasting – RTM.FM. On Friday 27th March TACO! are planning to relaunch a new website for the station, a new visual ID, and a new broadcasting software to go with it. All these things will make RTM a much better platform for artists, listeners and the wider community we work with, who use the platform to make and broadcast their own content. This is good timing, as now, of all times, would be a good time to share the broadcast space of RTM with others so they can reach people in their homes.

TACO! extend an invitation to you, to use RTM as a platform for your work, for you to continue to reach your audiences, and for you to continue to work and pay artists to make work. You can use RTM to broadcast pre-recorded content, or make a live shows – remotely from your space or home. This might be accompanying other work you are doing or had planned, or it might be a specific broadcast event. TACO! can support you to do do these things and help set you up to do it if you need (for free!). This help can include pre or post production (with the obvious limitations of physical presence!), and there is also a network of voluntary producers who can help on specific projects. TACO! can also look at embedding players podcasts on web and social platforms that you use to reach your audience.

If this sound potentially like something you want to do and feel like it could work for your organisation, the artists you are working with, and your audiences then get in touch!

Please email     info@rtm.fm     if you have any ideas or proposal for shows.
