Plymouth Contemporary 2021 is a major open submission exhibition that showcases the work of contemporary artists working nationally and internationally. Running across the two largest contemporary art galleries in the city – KARST and The Levinsky Gallery – Plymouth Contemporary 2021, the third iteration since its launch in 2015, continues to support new ideas and a risk-taking approach across all art forms.
This year, artists were asked to respond to the theme of ‘Making It’. For the exhibition, twenty nine artists from around the world, working across various disciplines including fine art and performance, were selected by a panel of leading artists, curators and art directors.
