Back Lane West: Artist Residencies
Artist residencies at Back Lane West in Cornwall. The next available residency is for a four month period, from Wednesday 5th January – Sunday 1st May 2022.
Back Lane West is a non-profit, artist-led residency, project, and meeting space in Redruth, Cornwall.
Back Lane West’s core programme is grounded in its artist’s/artist group’s self-funded residencies, projects and events. As an artist-led initiative its aim is to provide a supported space and critical community to allow artists to develop work and professional practice; to explore and experiment not only with practice, but also in terms of audience engagement and involvement. Back Lane West’s aims are to support critically engaged visual art practice and therefore there will be a preference for applicants with a contemporary conceptual practice, who need time and space to experiment.
BLW ask a small fee for artist residencies/projects at BLW to help cover the costs of the space.
BLW welcome residency/project/event applications – from individual artists, collaborators, artist groups, curators, writers, arts organisers….
The next available residency is for a four month period, from Wednesday 5th January – Sunday 1st May 2022. If you are interested in a slightly shorter period of time within these four months, do get in contact to discuss options.
Deadline for applications: Midnight Thursday 16th December 2021
All applicants will be contacted by 22nd December 2021
