As part of SET’s new studio spaces in Woolwich, SET are offering free space for community groups, activism and charities. SET are looking to hear from organisations in need of space, whose work addresses structural inequalities and crucial societal issues including the climate emergency, racism, poverty, mental health, and/or from organisations that deal and engage with local issues.

SET Woolwich: Free studio space for local groups

Set to open in late February 2021, SET Woolwich will host 250+ artist workspaces, a free studio prize for 15 selected artists, collectives or projects, and free space for selected charities and community groups. SET Woolwich will also be home to a broad programme including a dedicated moving image exhibition series entitled Office Hours. The project will run for a guaranteed 18 month period, with 3 months rolling thereafter.

Whether you’re just starting up or well established, interested organisations should get in touch here: woolwich@setspace.uk

In your email please list;

  1. What you do and why it’s important.
  2. Any online links / past documentation (if applicable)
  3. How much space you need (rough size in sq ft)
  4. What aspect of your organisation will you be using the space for? (Office space, meetings, workshops?)
  5. Can the space be a section of a larger open plan room with other organsations?
  6. Do you specifically need private space?
  7. Will any members of the public need access to the space?

The deadline to apply is Monday 15th of February and SET will endeavour to get back to everyone before the end of the month.  SET are looking to support a combination of causes and sadly won’t be able to accept everyone who applies. SET will also choose organisations dependant on the kind of space available and what you need.
