An exhibition for Middlesbrough Art Week, curated by Art Licks' Director, Holly Willats

This exhibition champions DIY culture, playful methods of production and brave ambition. It invites you to consider different approaches to art making and shows that you can communicate big ideas with modest materials and gentle gestures.

The artworks intersect with music, fashion, dance, design and performance; opening up the possibilities of how art can be part of your life in ways you might not have considered before.

We hope this exhibition makes you smile; and that it could even be an exciting starting point for new ideas.

This project has been considered with young people in mind but hopes to capture the imagination of every age.
